Artillery Rocket System
Within the scope of the TOROS Project, TOROS 230 with a range of 65 km and TOROS 260 unguided munitions with a range of 110 km were developed. TOROS has a conventional warhead and a solid propellant rocket motor.
The TOROS artillery rocket system consists of the following subsystems:
- 6×6 tactical wheeled vehicle-based launch vehicle
- Logistics support vehicle
- Maintenance and repair vehicle
- 4×4 wheeled vehicle-based fire command and control vehicle
TOROS 230 consists of 6 unguided TOROS 230 rockets placed in a single-use launcher box, while TOROS 260 consists of 4 unguided TOROS 260 rockets placed in a single-use launcher box.
TOROS Capabilities
Concept of Operation
TOROS provides the fire support needed not only for close combat but also for deep operations, bridging the gap between barreled artillery and tactical ballistic missile systems. It destroys critical targets such as the enemy's dispersed combat force, assembly areas, artillery and rocket units, transportation hubs, logistics tests, command and control centers, air defense systems, missile batteries, airfields and industrial facilities.
