TÜBİTAK Defense Industries Research and Development Institute (SAGE) conducts its activities with the aim of providing the Turkish Armed Forces and the defense industry with globally competitive, high-value-added, national technology, products, and services through research and development.

TÜBİTAK SAGE, which continues its work in the defense industry, can be summarized in terms of its areas of operation and services provided as follows:

• In relation to guided and unguided ammunition systems/subsystems:
  • Conducting fundamental research activities,
  • Managing R&D projects,
  • Conducting technology development studies,
  • Building knowledge and creating specialized human resources,
• Carrying out the production of developed strategic systems and subsystems (prototyping, low-scale initial production),
• Conducting software development activities in its specialized areas (ammunition task management, flight simulations, etc.),

While TÜBİTAK SAGE continues its activities at its main campus in Ankara, it also has various infrastructure and offices in Eskişehir, Kocaeli, Muğla, and Konya.
