Naval Inertial Navigation System
SGN-150D is an inertial navigation system designed for use on naval platforms, with navigation level measurement performance and a paracete interface. The SGN-150D, which comes with an embedded Global Positioning System (GPS), can serve as both main and backup navigation system. The system includes three closed-loop fiber optic rotometers, three accelerometers and related electronic and optical designs, enclosed in a harsh environmentally resistant housing. The electronic hardware design, software design, mechanical design, navigation and calibration algorithms of the SGN-150D Inertial Navigation System (ANS) were developed indigenously and nationally by TÜBİTAK SAGE.
The SGN-150D is designed to meet all the navigation requirements of a surface platform, including port initialization, initialization in navigational conditions, ANS with parachute support, ANS only and ANS with internal/external CDS support. In addition, the electrical interfaces and message formats on the system are designed to meet the needs of existing civilian and military surface platforms.
