SGN-150D - Naval Inertial Navigation System

SGN-150D is a navigation-grade Inertial Navigation System that is designed for use on Naval Platforms. The SGN-150D includes an embedded GNSS receiver and can function as both a primary and secondary navigation system. ITAR-free Fiber Optic Gyro (FOG) technology, accelerometers and related electronic and optical designs are all included in the SGN-150D which is enclosed in a tough-environment-proof structure. Electronic hardware designs, mechanical designs, software and algorithms are all developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE.

SGN-150D capabilities include; initialization at dockside, initialization in-motion at cruise conditions, INS with SpeedLog aiding, INS-only and tightly coupled INS/GNSS navigation modes with internal/external GNSS receivers. In addition, the system’s electrical interfaces and message formats are tailored to the requirements of existing civil and military platforms. SGN-150D is designed specifically for marine navigation and is engineered to ensure performance in harsh environments both with and without GNSS and SpeedLog assistance and to also allow for flexible and easy integration in retrofit programs and new vessel installations.
