PBP-102 Powder Thermobaric Explosive
HIGH ENERGETIC CONTENT, HIGH DESTRUCTIVE POWER
PBP-102 is a thermobaric powder explosive containing % 30 metal powder by weight. The impact intensity released by the explosion creates high pressure and destruction effect in closed areas such as caves, bunkers, tunnels and headquarters. In addition, it has a much higher detonation rate and particle efficiency than castable thermobaric explosives due to its high energetic charge. The heat generated by the combustion of the metal powder increases the volume, temperature and damping time of the flame released as a result of the explosion, increasing the heat effect and destructive power of the explosive on the target.
Within the scope of the VOLKAN Project, with the PBP-102 Powder Thermobaric Explosive, domestic design, production and qualification capabilities in the field of powder thermobaric explosives, and ammunition production technologies with powder thermobaric explosive ammunition were developed.
