Kemal TOPALÖMER
Director of the Institute
Kemal TOPALÖMER, born in Kilis in 1986, completed his undergraduate studies in Political Science and Public Administration at Middle East Technical University in 2010 and his master's degree in Industrial Engineering at the same university in 2023.
He began his career at the Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology in 2013 as an assistant expert and served as an assistant expert, expert, and undersecretary advisor until 2017.
Between 2017 and 2020, he held various positions at the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, the Prime Ministry of Türkiye, and the Ministry of National Defense.
From 2020 to 2024, he worked at Machinery and Chemical Industry Inc. (MKE) as Head of the Quality and Strategy Management Department, Director of Public Relations and Strategy, and Deputy General Manager of Commercial Affairs. During this period, he was appointed as the Head of the Turkish Delegation to NATO’s Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG).
As of September 5, 2024, Kemal TOPALÖMER serves as the Chairman of the Board and Director of the TÜBİTAK Defense Industries Research and Development Institute (SAGE). He is also a member of the Board of Directors at ROKETSAN.
Kemal TOPALÖMER is married with two children and is fluent in English.
