Kemal TOPALÖMER
Institute Director
Born in 1986 in Kilis, Kemal TOPALÖMER received his bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Middle East Technical University in 2010 and his master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2023.
In 2013, he joined the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology as an assistant specialist and worked as an assistant specialist, specialist and undersecretary advisor until 2017.
Between 2017-2020, he served in different positions in the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, the Prime Ministry of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of National Defense.
Between 2020 and 2024, he worked at Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi AŞ as the Head of Quality and Strategy Management Department, Director of Public Relations and Strategy and Assistant General Manager of Commercial Affairs, respectively. During his tenure, he was appointed as the Head of the Turkish Delegation to the NATO Industry Advisory Group (NIAG).
As of September 5, 2024, he has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TÜBİTAK Defense Industry Research and Development Institute and the Director of the Institute. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of ROKETSAN.
Kemal TOPALÖMER is married with two children and speaks English fluently.
