Technologies, products, and infrastructures developed with the goal of achieving full independence in defense garnered significant attention at the TÜBİTAK SAGE booth
SAHA EXPO 2024, showcasing Türkiye's notable advancements in technology and industry in recent years, was held at the Istanbul Expo Center from October 22-26, 2024. As one of the largest fairs dedicated to the defense industry, the event not only highlighted Türkiye’s domestic and national production capabilities but also contributed to promoting technological innovations in defense on the global stage. TÜBİTAK stood out with its broad participation, continuing its mission to integrate Türkiye’s scientific and technological capacity into the defense sector.
Products and solutions displayed under the vision of #NationalDefenseNationalR&D attracted significant interest from attendees. At the fair, systems such as SOM-J, GÖKDOĞAN, BOZDOĞAN, GÖKÇE, KUZGUN, and KGK-82-SİHA, as well as the capabilities of the Environmental Test Center under NATO DIANA, were exhibited. Additionally, several new products were showcased for the first time at SAHA EXPO 2024, including KIZILGÖZ (Visible Seeker Head), TİNAD (Optical Tank Barrel Alignment System), SGN-33P (Inertial Navigation System), Detonation Engine (Continuous Cycle Detonation Engine), and the S-FORCE (Smart Combat Environment for Operational Research) infrastructure, all of which drew special attention.
During the fair, which hosted successful business development meetings and B2B discussions on behalf of the institute, the TÜBİTAK SAGE booth welcomed numerous international visitors. Recognized as one of the most popular stands at the event, TÜBİTAK SAGE also hosted high-profile guests, including Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih KACIR, Chief of the Turkish General Staff Gen. Metin GÜRAK, Land Forces Commander Gen. Selçuk BAYRAKTAROĞLU, Air Forces Commander Gen. Ziya Cemal KADIOĞLU, Navy Commander Adm. Dr. Ercüment TATLIOĞLU, and other prominent officials.
Strategic Partnerships Signed at SAHA
TÜBİTAK SAGE signed strategic cooperation agreements during SAHA EXPO in Istanbul. In ceremonies attended by Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih KACIR, the institute formalized various collaboration agreements with ROKETSAN and BAYKAR Makina across several domains.
